Assignment 1 - Personal Home Page

Design a personal web site to tell friends and family a little about yourself and your interests.  The site should have the following characteristics:

  • consist of at least four pages with navigation that allows the user to easily move between the pages;
  • use tables or CSS to control the page layout;
  • include at least 3 images. You may scan them, download them from a digital camera or copy them from another web site. Preferred formats for the web are .jpg, .jpeg and .gif.;
  • each page must have an appropriate title;
  • code must be neat and properly indented.

Put the site into a directory named A01 and name the first page that you want your visitor to see default.html.

You may use Aspen to write the HTML or use an HTML editor such as FrontPage or Dreamweaver (then use Aspen to upload the code to the server). Any extraneous code added by the editor must be removed.  Do not attempt to use Word, it creates extremely messy code.

Some information you could include are: that you are a MBA student at WWU, your background, sports, hobbies, special interests, trips you have been on, photos, links to your favorite web sites, etc.
